Progress Report

 

Anyone hot????

Ugh! Moving in slow motion, but I am moving.

My sewing room is at least 10 degrees hotter than the rest of the house, so I am running in and out. Not fair!!

Anyway, I have managed to finish 100-patch block number 2.

 

 

My little kitty is tucked in a corner.

 

 

Or should I say, my little big cat.

I have also located my half square triangles that I need to create a border for my Pineapple Blossom quilt. So, I have started turning these piles

 

 

into these.

 

 

I have a lot more to go!

My plan is to start getting some of my bits and pieces all put together.

Some finishes would be nice. That would make me feel much more productive.

 

Speaking of--my garden is being pretty productive.

Guess what we have been having for dinner????

 

 

Now, you would think I would lose a couple of pounds?????

Need to be a lot more productive in that department as well.

So, off I go to get something done.

WISP-ing Along On Many Things

 

 

I have finished sewing all of my Wiggly Whimsy strips for Terry's SAL.

 

 

and I started on 100-patch block number 2. Took a break when Murphy sent them flying across the table.

 

 

Working on these blocks started another burst of organizing in the form of sorting.

I am busy turning piles that look like this,

 

 

into lots of little piles that look like these:

 

 

That started me taking the larger scraps and sorting them into colors.

 

 

And then stuffing them into shoe box sized containers. I need bigger boxes!!

 

 

Oh, I forgot--there was more cake!!!!!!!!! This one was made by my sweet hubby!

 

 

And like all the others the eating of the cake was not considered WISPY at all, but I am extremely caked out for now. No birthdays coming up soon, so that is a good thing.

Hanging With The Clan

 

Hope everyone is having a safe and relaxing holiday weekend.

Prayers to all the people evacuating their homes and firemen battling all the fires out west.

We spent Thursday with my mom and sister celebrating the 4th and Mom's belated birthday.

 

 

Free to have fun, eat MORE cake and sew!!!!!!
