Progress Report

Slowly but surely, I am getting somewhere in the sewing room.  I think that I have located all of my UFO's.
I am somewhere between this embarrassingly long list:

And these nicely labeled tubs:

I had a hard time taking pictures of these containers because there is very little room between them and the shelves.

No pictures of those right now. They are on the list of things that really need tidying.

More tubs here:

And more things that need to be sorted and put neatly into tubs. If only I could figure out where to put more tubs.

Time to sort through everything in the sewing room, so that I can get them out of the middle of the floor.
One day at a time.
Hope everyone is ready to have a great weekend!!

Motivation

So, I have managed to stick to my guns so far and not start any new projects.
I have not gotten a accurate count of all of my UFO's yet, but I am joining Joy's challenge to get organized.

She has several different ways that you can join the challenge.
So, go check it out and here and I will be back with some embarrassingly high numbers of incomplete projects that I will be working on.

Spring is in the Air

We have had three pretty days in a row--sunny and warm.
One day it was almost 80 degrees.
Hubby has been out in the yard moving and weeding and washing cars.
I have been in the sewing room.
Spring means bunnies and yes, bunny has a tail now.

I still have a little bit of blanket stitching to do around the flowers, but I am getting there. I should be able to finish him by Easter right????
I was working on a scrappy border for this as well. Hopefully I have enough bits to go around.

The best news of all was that I found all the bits after hiding away for a year. Things are looking positive!!!

I also finished the last two red blocks from the Squared Away Rainbow Challenge BOM from last year.

They really are red. The light is not all that awesome in the sewing room. I only have one small window.
I thought I was going to be done with the blocks after these, but after playing with them; I am going to do three more in orange.

Those may wait awhile. At least until I finish the bunny.
Hope everyone had a fun St. Patty's Day and National Quilting Day.
Another work week is upon us, but I am going to try for that 10 minutes a day thing.
Fingers crossed!!!!

I'm Back!!!

Where, oh where have I been?
Life got kind of busy shortly after my last post.
Good stuff happened.
Joy came to visit and we tried to get a lot of sewing done.
We even kidnapped Lola to play with us.

Guess what I was working on today? Yep, my poor bunny finally has a tail after a year. I do believe Lola is the only one that has finished so far.
We had a great time and I really, really hope she can come visit again soon.

This sweetie is also new to our family since last I blogged.

Her name is Bunny and she is 6 years old. I was trying to get her adopted during one of our Humane Society events and sadly there were no takers.
She was in pretty bad shape: Skin problems, heartworms and unbeknownst to us at the time--she has seizures. I couldn't stop thinking about her, so I went and adopted her the following Friday.
We are working on all of her issues and she is a very happy puppy. A happy, overweight puppy.
Unfortunately, her favorite sewing room spot is under the ironing board. I have to be careful.

Her bud, Witt, decided that he wanted a photo as well.

In the midst of all that, my 91 year old mom, fell and shattered her elbow. She messed it up too badly to heal, so they had to replace it. She stayed with us for awhile and then back home for rehab. It is hard because she lives 2 hours away. Fortunately, she is back at it. Doing everything she used to do. Not that the doctors want her too. I hope to be just like her when (???) I grow up.

Things have chilled out a little and I plan to get some serious sewing done. And some serious organizing.
I need to figure out where to put all of the goodies that I just bought at the quilt show at the beginning of the month.
Told you some good stuff happened.
Lola and I didn't leave much for anyone else to buy.

I really need to hide most of this and get busy on my UFO's. They really are out of control and I have a few goals to start with, so hopefully I can stick with it. I get distracted far to easily.

Progress reports coming soon!
